Editorial Policy

How we research, write, and maintain content on StudentsHelp.ca

Our Commitment to Accuracy

StudentsHelp.ca is committed to providing accurate, up-to-date, and useful information for international students in Canada. We take editorial quality seriously because we know our readers make important decisions based on what they read here.

How We Research Content

Every article on StudentsHelp.ca is researched using primary and authoritative sources, including:

  • Official Government of Canada websites — canada.ca, ircc.canada.ca
  • IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) — for all immigration and study permit content
  • CELPIP.ca — for all CELPIP exam content
  • IELTS.org — for all IELTS exam content
  • Canadian university and college websites — for education-related content
  • CIC News and other reputable immigration news sources — for current draw and policy updates

We do not base our articles on unverified forums, social media posts, or unofficial sources.

How We Update Content

Immigration rules, visa requirements, exam formats, and scholarship deadlines change regularly. We review and update our most important articles on an ongoing basis, especially when official policy changes are announced by IRCC or other governing bodies.

Each article includes a "Last Updated" date so readers can see how recent the information is.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial content is not influenced by advertising or sponsorships. We do not publish paid articles or accept payment to write positive coverage of any product, service, or organization.

If we include affiliate links in an article, we disclose this clearly. Affiliate relationships never influence which topics we cover or what we write.

Corrections Policy

If we publish inaccurate information, we correct it promptly. If you find an error in any of our articles, please contact us and we will investigate and correct it as quickly as possible.

Comments Policy

We welcome thoughtful comments and questions on our articles. We moderate all comments and remove spam, abusive language, misleading information, and any content that violates our community standards. We do not allow personal immigration case details to be shared in public comments.
