Editorial Policy
How our content gets made, and how we keep it honest.
Our standard
Every article on StudentsHelp.ca should be something we'd be comfortable recommending to a friend moving to Canada: accurate, specific, and genuinely useful — not generic filler written to rank in search results.
How content gets made
Articles come from three sources:
- Written directly by our editorial team.
- Drafted by AI from a topic or content-calendar idea, then reviewed and edited by a human before publishing.
- Drafted by AI in response to a real reader question asked through our chat assistant, when we don't already have an article covering it — again, always reviewed by a human before publishing.
In every case, a human reviews and approves the article before it goes live. No content on this Site publishes automatically without review.
Sourcing standards
- We prioritize official sources — primarily IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) and canada.ca — for anything related to immigration, study permits, and work permits.
- We avoid citing specific statistics, studies, or figures we can't stand behind. Where we're not confident in an exact number (such as a fee or processing time that changes often), we say so and point readers to the official source instead of guessing.
- Because immigration and education policy changes frequently, we periodically review and update older articles. If you notice something out of date, please let us know through our Contact page.
No sponsored content
We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage of a specific school, agency, or service. If that ever changes for a specific article, we will clearly label it as sponsored or promotional.
Corrections
If you spot an error — a broken fact, an outdated fee, a confusing explanation — tell us through our Contact page. We take corrections seriously and will update the article, typically within a few days.
Advertising
This Site may display third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense) to support free access to our content. Advertising does not influence our editorial recommendations or content decisions.
